The subject of Perfect Imperfections, this intelligent and quirky paint "Shane" was a dear friend to me during my childhood in the 1960's. I realize my friend is now gone. However, I would appreciate any information that could help me find others who were fortunate to have known him during his lifetime. I'm eager to tell them about his book and share memories and pictures with them of our mutual friend.
The paint was six years of age when purchased from Rodeo Ranch in Maple Valley, Washington in 1965. At that time, I was told he came from a ranch in Oregon. His markings were unique and included a brand on his hip which I could not decipher. After me, his next owner was a girl who lived across the way from Sammamish High School in Bellevue, Washington. Although I don't recall her name, I know from visiting him at her home that he loved that girl very much. They too had a special relationship.
Thank you for taking the time to reflect back; I know it was a long time ago. If you have information, please call . . .
